• His unique style and raw innovation on the turntables brought DJ Cash Money Billboard charting singles such as Ugly People Be Quiet, Find An Ugly Woman, and Where’s the Party At? and an international tour of more than 20 countries and over 50 cities in the U.S.
• DJ Cash Money is credited with creating the most crucial scratches of the turntable art form. He is also credited with creating the Pee Wee Herman scratch and pioneering the Chirp scratch.
• In 1998 Cash was inducted into the DMC-Technics Hall of Fame with the title “The World’s Greatest DJ.”
• He’s still the only DJ to hold all three major world titles at the same time: DMC World Championships, DMC World Supremacy and the American New Music Seminar DJ Competition. Joining Cash Money on the bill is Cambodia-based DJ ILLEST and Saigon turntablist DJ KAMEL NIGHT.
An active member of the Cambodian Hip Hop Scene and 9 years behind the Wheels of Steels, DJ ILLEST was a member of the CP5 Posse, a graffiti crew that started in 1989 in Paris.
Today DJ ILLEST is affiliated with the CP5 DJ crew which includes: DJ DSK( UK), DJ JACKSON & DJ KAI ( France). After 7 years of underground practice DJ Illest has emerged on the Cambodian HIP HOP Scene and his Fridays HIP HOP Nights at the Lounge Club in Phnom Penh have become regular Rendez-Vous for Hip Hop aficionados.
DJ ILLEST has also brought International DJs to perform in Cambodia. These Djs include: DJ DSK( UK), DJ Ofay( USA), DJ Kai(France), DJ Solo( Belgium). DJ ILLEST has released several MIX cds available at CD WORLD since 2001.

Kamel Night is what you would call a self-taught DJ who fell in love with Hip Hop and dancefloors when he was only twelve years old. Endowed with an experience acquired in the entourage of the best, he is proud to represent the future generation of French DJs.
Not affiliated with the deejaying contests and other shows of tricks and scratching, he has rapidly understood that his style is closer to the mix than the turntablism, even if most of these specialists recognize his creativity and skills.
Strongly inspired by DJs like Funkmaster Flex, Clue, Kayslay and Premier, his sets are strictly based on the pleasure of his dancefloors. Making people grind and have fun is his main mission, nothing to do with glitter and gold. That’s the reason why he has shared the stage with so many French artists (Cut Killer, DJ Abdel, Le Rat Luciano, Joey Starr of NTM, Booba, Sinik, Secteur Ä…) and the biggest names from the US (Redman, Wu-Tang Clan, Tony Touch, KRS One, DJ Premier…).

MAJOR LAZER is one of the hottest electronic acts in the world right now. They are the men behind the biggest club track of 2010, “Pon De Floor” (see video below) and produced M.I.A’s “Paper Planes” from the Oscar winning “Slumdog Millionaire” soundtrack.
MAJOR LAZER is a Jamaican commando who lost his arm in the secret Zombie War of 1984. The US military rescued him and repurposed experimental lazers as prosthetic limbs. Since then Major Lazer has been a hired renegade soldier for a rogue government operating in secrecy underneath the watch of M5 and the CIA. His cover is that of a dancehall night club owner from Trinidad and he enlisted the help of long-time allies and uber-producers, Diplo and Switch, to produce his first LP. His true mission is to protect the world from the dark forces of evil that live just under the surface of a civilized society. He fights vampires and various monsters, parties hard, and has a rocket powered skateboard.
Coming to Vietnam will be Diplo and MC Skerrit Bwoy (He’s the nutter with the yellow mohawk in the “Pon De Floor” video!)

Known internationally as a curator amongst the worldʼs most cutting edge DJs, producers, and musical movements Wesley Pentz (better known as DIPLO) has experienced a variety of successes. The last few years have been spent running through the club circuit and having chart-topping hits with refreshing irreverence.
In 2004 Pentz released his debut album as Diplo called “Florida.” It received praise and accolades in the underground community. The music embodied on this album led to an introduction via an A&R man at XL Records to M.I.A. In 2004 he partnered with M.I.A. for the mixtape “Piracy Funds Terrorism”. Pentzʼs cultural impact had started to snowball. Together they worked on her first album Arular and much of her second Kala, including the 2008 mega-hit “Paper Planes,” which reached No. 3 in the US Charts and earned him a Grammy nomination for Record of the Year.
His production credits have evolved since to include Santigold, Lilʼ Jon and Missy Elliot, while remixing works by Beck, Radiohead, Britney Spears and countless others.

Martin Reeves, AKA Krafty Kuts, is without doubt one of the world’s greatest DJs. Lauded in the UK, worshipped in Australia, acclaimed in America, where ever he plays he is guaranteed to cause a commotion with his riotous skills.
So far in a glittering career he has gained dance music’s top accolades including Best International DJ at the Australian Dance Music Awards, Breakspoll’s Face of Breaks 2003 and Best Breaks DJ at the M8 Ibiza awards 2006, in only his first year as a resident on the white isle. A stunning haul at Breakspoll 2007 saw him claiming Best Album for his debut long player ‘Freakshow’,Best DJ for a record third consecutive year and to cap it off, the richly deserved Outstanding Contribution to Breakbeataward that acknowledged his long journey to the acme of club culture.
Inspired by the hip-hop and electro sounds that were rocking his world, Martin first stepped behind a pair of decks when he entered a DJ competition and incredibly, as a complete novice, he made it all the way to the final. With his love affair for the wheels of steel well and truly cemented, Krafty Kuts set about learning his art, perfecting the cutting and scratching that was to become the core of his DJ sets.
Immersing himself in the music he loved, Martin went on to run one of Brighton’s most popular record shops throughout the 90s. Building an encyclopaedic knowledge of dance music in all its forms, Krafty’s expertise marked him out as a prime supplier of dance-floor bullets to Brighton’s musical elite, including the town’s most famous son Norman Cook. Having built a fearsome DJing reputation for himself across the south-coast, with a string of high-octane gigs it was during 1996 that Martin took the next logical step, transferring his dance-floor knowledge to the studio, creating his own tracks to take his sets to the next level.
His first big break came when a dubplate of Krafty Kuts’ ‘Gimme The Funk’ found its way to Norman Cook who immediately snapped it up for his Southern Fried label, releasing it to huge club approval. Suitably impressed Ministry of Sound offshoot FSUK took on Krafty unleashing a string of classic singles; ‘Funky Elements’, ‘Wild In the Aisles’ (a tribute to Martin’s legendary appearance on Supermarket Sweep!) and ‘Return of the Elements’.
With his own tracks elevating his profile across the globe Martin mixed his first compilation ‘Slam On The Breaks’ which gathered the cream of the breaks scene into a mercurial mix, further enhancing his notoriety as a devastating deck technician and selling by the bucket-load. At about the same time, Krafty hooked up with Skool of Thought to establish the SuperCharged club night. Home to his longest standing residency, the night continues to pull in huge crowds and after 8 years of all encompassing party action on a Wednesday night, it is now one of Breakbeat’s most globally revered nights.
With the club world at his mercy the demand for Krafty’s studio abilities reached new heights. Becoming the remixer du jour, Krafty transformed numerous tracks in to serious party bangers for the likes of Jurassic 5, Arthur Baker, Eric B & Rakim, Stakker Humanoid and Afrika Bambaataa’s Funky Heroes’, for which he won a Best Remix award.
By 1999, with his all-encompassing club style, blending beats and breaks across the board, honed to perfection, Martin entered the studio with Freddy Fresh, long standing studio partner Ed Solo and NY’s own Dr Luke. Together they produced a series of beats and skits that were destined to become the backbone of Finger Lickin’s legendary Finger Lickin Funk release.
The following two years saw Martin’s star rise still further, creating music for a Coca Cola advert, PlayStation 2 and Guy Richie’s ‘Mean Machine’ as well as mixing one of Mixmag’s most popular cover mount CDs. With DJing and music making taking up all of his time, Krafty decided it was time to leave music sales behind and left the record shop that had proved pivotal in his early career. Free to concentrate fully on his creative side Martin launched both the Against The Grain and SuperCharged labels with club partner Skool of Thought and began releasing a series of smart-bombs that would hake the foundations of the Breaks scene. The ‘Lost Plates EP’, ‘Lock The Hype’ and ‘Sound Check’ proved beyond any doubt that Krafty Kuts was now established as a force to be reckoned with in dance music.
Having conquered the Breaks scene, Martin turned his attentions to a different groove and returned to his Hip-Hop roots. Following up on a contact made during his record shop days, he began a studio collaboration with up and coming DJ A-Skillz, that resulted in the stunning Hip-Hop and Party Breaks album Trickatechnology. Critically lauded on it’s release, the album saw the pair collaborating with rhyming behemoth Kurtis Blow, Dr Luke and Freakpower’s Ashley Slater on a series of superlative turntable compositions that demonstrated Martin’s fathomless knowledge of old skool breaks.
With the demand for his records and club sets showing no sign of slowing down, Martin took a backseat with the labels and club promotion and flung himself headlong into non-stop touring and recording. Working solidly throughout 2006 Krafty completed his debut solo album, Freak Show. Once again the tracks featured a stellar cast of collaborators from the Scratch Perverts, Tim Deluxe and Dynamite MC, to long term associates A-Skillz, Ashley Slater and Dr Luke. Mirroring Krafty Kuts’ universal approach to partying and the dance-floor, the album moved through myriad tempos, taking in Acid, Breaks, Booty Bass and Funk with a consummate ease. Again the plaudits flooded in, with Freaksow gaining album of the month in DJ magazine and top marks across the board. The album’s lead single ‘Bass Phenomenon was a ubiquitous feel good anthem of the summer and its popularity proved such that it won DJ Magazine single of the year 2006. Still played world-wide the track has recently spawned its own remix competition. Following hard on its heels a Fabriclive compilation proved to be one of the series’ most popular instalments with Martin’s trademark eclectic nature shining through.
From humble beginnings Krafty Kuts is now one of the big players on the world’s club scene, DJing alongside The Prodigy, Fatboy Slim and even the Rolling Stones. And with his recent Back To Mine and Against The Grain Re-Rubs CD raising the bar for DJ Mixes, combined with his continuing residencies around the world, it appears there is no end in sight to the meteoric rise of Krafty Kuts.

The two heroes discovered the wonders of electro parties in the mid 90’s and quickly started to learn mixing and composing. Both of them were fuelled by techno, house, ghetto tech, hip-hop and rock, they surfed all over Europe’s dance scene to eventually meet up in 2004 in the south of France. Closely linked by an offbeat humor and a craving for partying, they decided at the end of the night to give birth to their own project in order to fight against the growing minimal music trend, bringing back smiles and lifting hands up on the dancefloors.
These guys have played all over the world including Australia, Japan, Canada, China, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Poland, Belgium, Italy, Switzerland and Korea. On their first US tour, they played in front of 20 000 people crowds and even up to 50 000 at festivals like etd.pop, San Francisco or We Love Sounds, Sydney.
Real heroes were born, not masked, not wearing fluorescent tights but often wildly costumed. Fully energized, nothing seems to stop them.
Elevated by a mad-cowy graphic identity, their unique sound organizes chaos, melting deadly basslines, jumping rhythms and delirious samples. Without any limit, the Stereoheroes can fly from an under-underground style to classic techno, hip-hop, house or even drum’n’bass, spitting out a non-linear type of music that always awakens the dancers.
Up until now they have produced more than 20 original tracks (named after Marvel Comics characters), reached the top of specialized charts and have been added to the playlists of many famous DJs all over planet Earth. On top of that you will find that StereoHeroes have made a crazy load of banging remixes for many different artists.

Charly B was exposed to original Reggae music at the early age of 15, during more than one year spent in Jamaica as an exchange student. Overall, he has spent more than 4 years on the reggae island. Being a French national, he sings in Jamaican for the world and also in French for his country.
Charly.B has performed with international artists such as Capleton, Anthony.B, Glen Washington, Teflon, DeMarco, Kiprich, Cali.P, Ras Charmer, Prince Theo, and has toured with Zumjay and Alozade (New Generation Sound – Neecko).
In 2009 he recorded an Album at GeeJam Studio, Port Anthonio, Jamaica produced by JON BAKER (president of Island records in the early 90′s) and REGGAE EUROPE.

In April 2009, they signed the very first Steroheroes EP on the now reknowned Leonizer Records label owed by French producer Leonard de Leonard. NAM THE MAN
NAM THE MAN will be making a very special appearance on the day. He will showcase his skills on the main stage and hold workshops, so you too can learn the skills of the world’s top football freestyler. NAM is the twice current European Champion as well as the current All Ireland Champion. His shows are visually spectacular and guaranteed to leave you in awe of his amazing skills. NAM recently judged the CLEARmen freestyle football competition in HCMC which attracted a massive 15,000 strong crowd. He also came to Hanoi with the ten finalists and performed in front of 5,000 people.
SKATE PARK
On the day, there will be Hanoi’s only custom built skate park, in which Hanoi’s top thirty skaters will battle it out in a competition for four-wheeled domination. There will also be an opportunity for you to have a go.
FOOD & DRINK
There will be a Noi Zee bar serving a selection of beers, spirits, cocktails and soft drinks all day. We will also be running special happy hours throughout the day.
Food will be provided by R&R Tavern, The Oasis and India Palace who will be serving burgers, Mexican food, sandwiches, pizzas, hot dogs and a selection of curries.
KIDS ENTERTAINMENT
There is also plenty of fun for all the family as well as NAM THE MAN’s workshops and the skate park there will also be a bouncy castle, face painting, adventure playground and much more.

A musician, an artist, a DJ and an actor, Goldie’s December gig in Saigon provided more than something new to the city’s fledgling music scene.
It was the buzz around town. Drum n’ bass pioneer Goldie, probably the biggest name DJ to grace the shores of Vietnam, was to play at Cage on Saturday Dec. 19. Brought in by Hanoi-based Noi Zee in conjunction with Saigon Sound System, supported by DJs Von Knappe and Jase, and with MC Dokey also taking to the stage, it was a night to talk about. But it was also one that the eager audience had to wait for, with the man himself only taking the stage just before midnight.
By the time the clock had ticked past 10pm, Cage was already alive with the sounds of electro beats and warm lighting. Levi’s had put on a dance and catwalk performance, and hip hop had been the order of play so far, with periods of jungle-style MCing and drum n’ bass thrown in to prepare for the headline act. However, the audience seemed preoccupied as they awaited the arrival of the night’s star. It didn’t matter, though, the mood was set and the place seemed to prickle with the anticipation.
Arriving almost directly from the airport, most missed his entry into the building. Such is the nature of Goldie’s celebrity – he is huge in the UK but less so elsewhere – that many were unable to correctly identify him. Perhaps they were expecting a figure exuding swank, with an entourage of girls and guys in tow. But Goldie, despite being a veteran of one James Bond movie, acting roles in Snatch and EastEnders, innumerable TV reality shows, relationships with the likes of Naomi Campbell and Bjork, and acclaimed works of art, is anything but.
“Who is Goldie, by the way?” asked one middle-aged customer to a group of friends. She was present because having such a figure in town was something new to the nightlife and music scene here. It was this that made her and want to participate, and she readily paid the VND300,000 cover charge for the new experience. As the night drew to a close, she had her answer.
As the lights came on at 2am, Goldie played what should have been his last track. He wished everyone a Merry Christmas and then declared he could play four more hours, but as the track faded he was applauded and cheered for an encore. DJs rarely encore and the fact he came back was a measure of the night.
While without doubt a treat for those faithful to beats, the drum n’ bass factor meant that reactions varied from wow-factor satisfaction to misapprehension. Many Vietnamese in the audience expressed appreciation for the quality of the performance, but found themselves unable to relate to the genre. Drum n’ bass is a rarity in Saigon, a far cry from the house-cum-techno-cum-electro presently entrancing the city’s clubbing scene.
Then there were those who had seen Goldie perform in the UK. For them, the show was a let down. He had held back, not going full on.
However most agreed that the event was out of the top draw, and would gladly pay to experience it all over again.
It will take time to fully get the crowds onside, and to entice the Vietnamese into the foreign musical waters provided by the likes of Goldie. But the feeling from all involved in the event – Noi Zee, Saigon Sound System, Cage and even those involved in this website – was that the synergy is there and it’s starting to work.

Noi Zee DJs will be providing the soundtrack from the upper deck while you enjoy the great views of the river by night. You can also kick back in one of the two VIP rooms and smoke complimentary shisha.

Harley Augustine is a prominent Australian Progressive House DJ/Producer based in Melbourne. No other DJ in the world will ever be a member of the three most innovative and influential DJ crews to ever exist. As a member of the Invisibl Skratch Piklz, Beat Junkies and Triple Threat DJs, Shortkut’s contributions to the DJ world greatly assisted in building this culture into the multi-million dollar industry it is today. His years of musical experience and unparalleled presence in the national and international circuits exemplifies his passion and dedication to a culture he helped create. In 2007, Shortkut celebrated 20 years as a DJ, producer, DJ equipment designer, and battle champion.
Shortkut began his DJ career in 1987 with Just 2 Hype!, a mobile DJ soundsystem based out of Daly City, California. In 1994, J Rocc, the “Funky President” (Stones Throw records), invited Shortkut to join his internationally acclaimed collective of djs and producers, The Beat Junkies. Since Shortkut’s addition to the group, he has diversified the Beat Junkie audience. In 1995, Shortkut, Q-Bert and Mixmaster Mike (Beastie Boys), formed the Invisibl Skratch Piklz, a legendary turntable band that led a new era in the DJ/turntablist world. The Invisibl Skratch Piklz went on to become the most influential DJ crew of all time. In 1999, Shortkut, along with world DJ champions Apollo and Vinroc, founded the Triple Threat DJs. These DJs all shared the same philosophy of combining raw turntable skills for the hardcore, while satisfying dancefloor crowds. This musical philosophy exploded with the birth of the Triple Threat DJs, and is now what DJs around the world follow today.
Throughout his career, Shortkut has made numerous contributions to the DJ culture. His involvement with seminars and tutorials in techniques and DJ history helps develop aspiring DJs and turntablists from middle schools to college classrooms worldwide. He was also a key designer of the Vestax 05 Pro, which became the best-selling mixer of the Japan-based Vestax mixer line.
Shortkut claimed numerous titles, notably the 1994 and 1998 US/West Coast DMC Championships. He has also been featured in prized national and international publications including Rolling Stone, URB, DJ Times, Scratch, and VIBE. His talent has taken him to almost every continent, in which he showcases his performance/mixing DJ style to crowds – many of whom were introduced to the artform for the first time. In 2001, Shortkut appeared alongside X-ecutioner’s Rob Swift and actress Shannon Sossamon for a GAP clothing commercial that aired worldwide. He was honored with the Grand Wizard Theodore Lifetime Achievement Award in Germany for his contributions to the development of scratching in 2004.
A diverse selection in music, combined with turntablist roots makes Shortkut one of the world’s premier DJs. He has the creative ability to fuse many styles, which enables him to play for various audiences. Influences such as Jazzy Jeff, Rob Swift, Q-Bert, and his DJ crewmembers have contributed to Shortkut’s well-rounded DJ style.
Shortkut’s musical talent magnetizes audiences of all ages both in his hometown of San Francisco, throughout the United States, and overseas. His 20+ years of DJ experience and membership with three of the world’s most influential DJ collectives allowed him to enhance his skills, expand his musical selection and develop into an inspiring musician that believes in sharing his talent. Shortkut continues to add to his discography through creations in different areas of music production, mix projects and more recently, video mixing. With the addition of the visual element to his DJ sets, Shortkut continues to innovate and lead in progressing the art of DJing.

We have a real treat for you. The finest DJs Hanoi has to offer, all under one roof, battling for the crown. Whatever style you’re into one of these guys will cater to your taste.
Format
Each DJ will have 20 minutes to prove his worth. The DJs will battle to impress the crowd and the panel of judges.
How will the DJs be judged?
Firstly you, the public will decide on The People’s Choice by voting with a pencil and with your feet. There will be voting cards inside the venue and we’ll also award bonus points to the DJs that get the dancefloor rocking.
There will also be a panel of judges who will judge the DJs based on originality, creativity, mixing skills and above all the DJ’s ability to work a party! The champion will be decided by a showdown between the Judge’s Choice and The People’s Choice.
Great prizes will be given to the DJs.
Doors open at 21.00 and the battle begins at 22.00
An event like this will only work with your participation. We urge you to get there early to hear all the DJs.

Noi Zee promotions is proud to announce it’s residency at Loop club in Hanoi. As from next month you will be able to hear the quality tunes you expect from the Noi Zee crew every four weeks. We’ve got some great special guest DJs rocking into Hanoi for your pleasure.
All events will kick off at 9pm and as you know, if you attended our Christmas party, will roll on into the early hours. DJ Dezz is widely known as one half of the regular duo who plays at the legendary Tube after-parties in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In September 2006, he bagged the 2nd runner up in the Heineken Juice Magazine DJ Quest 2006 and also secured a place in the much technically anticipated Pioneer Digital DJ Battle Final in December 2006. In addition he was given a chance to be among one of the first Malaysian DJs to host his own radio show on the much acclaimed Digitally Imported Radio from New York (www.di.fm).
Recently, DJ DEZZ became resident DJ for ASOUND.
